Wow! It’s been a week since I wrote anything.
Not quite true, I guess, since I’ve been writing day and night to finish my book.
Listening in on a teleseminar last week I heard the guest say you need to work on something you’re passionate about.
I realized I started my book because I was interested in web video. But guess what, now I’m passionate.
The more I study the market the more I see solutions that are good, but you’ll end up spending hundreds of dollars for software that may or may not give you the results you want. Every component in my book is free, or at least free to use for 30 days. That way you’ll know if it’s right for you or not.
And, my book is only $19.00
It could sell for more. Maybe $47, or $97, or $197. Those are the favorite price points on the web. Why we don’t say $50, or $100, or $200 has to do with mental persuasion. Look at me. I should just say 20 bucks and be done with it. But those price points have been tested and retested and $19 always wins out over $20. $47 always beats $50 and so on.
The reason I’m sticking to the lowest price point is that I have more to offer later and want to build a relationship with you or whoever uses my book. I want you to know I’m giving value anytime we do business together.
In my book I cover every step, A to Z, about web video, but it’s not a jumble of suggestions and alternatives. I’m showing you exactly how I create, edit, and upload videos to our websites. But, not only do you get a book with screen shots, you also get videos that cover everything in the book. It’s like having a companion to show you exactly how to do what the book is telling you to do.
I cover shooting the video with your camcorder, importing the raw footage into your computer, editing your video, which includes titles, audio, music, intros and exits. I also show you my favorite free way to convert to Flash, specific instructions on how to upload to your website and how to quickly upload to many video sharing sites to increase your search engine rankings.
You can get an idea of my teaching style from some of my previous entries. Very informal. I’m having fun. I want you to have fun too and not be stressed about video and not spend a bunch of money.
